First we are finally in our new House!! Yeah!! And even better I am almost done unpacking boxes!! For a while last week we weren't sure if that was going to be possible.
It all started the Friday before we were to sign. We came to do our final walk through and we couldn't get into our house. The sellers had taken the lock box off the front door and no one knew where they were at, not even their realtor. They finally found them and they were in Jackson floating the Hoeback. So we had to reschedule our walk through for Monday @8AM. Now this was the day we were to sign.
Well Monday came and we arrived @ 8 as planned and still no keys. (This will be a reoccurring theme). So we had to wait do our walk through until 11:30 but we were to sign at 9 so they pushed that back. anyways they found a key so we could go in. We were not happy. There were holes in the walls and the large play set that was outside was gone. We didn't ask for it but since it was anchored in the ground we assumed it would stay Guess not. The sellers must have destroyed it getting it out. any who... We also found out at this time that there was a problem with all the docs so we couldn't close until 1. Mind you we had people coming over at 5 to help us move.
When we get to the place to sign papers the docs still aren't ready!! We didn't end up signing until 3:45PM come to find out it was over a $6 Flood insurance that they didn't tell us about so they were trying to fix it. If they would have said something that morning we could have had it taken care of.
Any ways as we were sitting in the Title place, the sellers came in to do their part and cam I just tell you the guy was a real Beep Beep. He wanted us to compensate him for his time for both Mon & Fri (They were out of Town that day) and they were the ones who picked the closing date not us!! Any way we new that we wouldn't fund and record that day but because Jason had taken the day off we asked if it would be all right if we went a head and moved in any way. Well being the jerk that he was and According to him we were making them homeless (??) the most he would let us do was put stuff in the garage. We found out the next day that we think he went over make sure since all the doors were open when we finally did record.
And we still have no keys for our new house. No one knows were they are at and the sellers are MIA again. So we had to spend about $60 to buy new locks for all the doors. even after a week there is no sign of the keys.
When we finally did get in we found out that the sellers had had all the utilities physically turned off so we had to run around town that day and have everything turned back on. and the phone didn't get turned on until this Tuesday a whole week without the phone or Internet. it really sucked!!
But we are in a home of our own and we are looking at the big picture!!
During this time the kids also had their first day of school. Taeler is now in the 4th grade, Ryan in the 2nd grade and Jaela is a Kindergartner. They had a great first day despite the fact that we were in a new school and they didn't know any one.

The Lee Family
I jealous you are done unpacking, maybe it's because it's so cool there and too hot here to even move my fingers to type. I still have about 15 boxes in our room, the girl's rooms, and the kitchen to unpack. Maybe too it's because our place is so tiny I don't know where to put everything. You guys are super lucky. Congrats on the house! Hopefully we can see it if we get to come home for Christmas, depending on the baby and pregnancy. We miss you guys.
CUTE!! :)
