Our Busy Start to the Christmas Season

This weekend was very busy for us. It seemed like we weren't even home until late Sunday afternoon. We started early Saturday morning with Our nephew, James baptism. Then to the O'Connor's house for root beer floats. Then because it was the first Saturday in December we went up to get our Tree. We do this every year on the first Saturday in December. The kids really enjoy getting to pick out our tree for the year. It's fun getting to see them try to decide what tree will make the best Christmas tree.

When we finally arrived home after the tree outing Mom and Dad went to do our Christmas shopping. Due to the fact that Jason Drives extra runs this month we wanted to get it done early. I am happy to say that we are almost done just a few little things that we need to pick up.

On Sunday we were able to go to 2 Sacrament meetings to see 2 of our nephews get blessed. Then afterwards we all got to have dinner as a family. Although it is VERY crazy with so many kids running around but they love being with their cousins.

When we got home we finally got to put up our tree. The kids love picking out the ornament's that they want to hang up. Mom and dad just get to do the lights.

So concluded our busy weekend.

Ryan standing by what will be out tree. He was so proud he was able to "pick" it out.
Our kids out in the Snow. We were waiting for dad to bring the car a little closer to were we actually cut the tree down. Kaelen did not want to be in the picture. She wanted to go back up the hill with her dad.
Taeler posing on a rock. All the kids had to have pictures on the rock by where we got the tree.
Jaela and Kaelen having their posing for the camera.
Jake in the snow. This was the first time that he has gotten to play in it. Last year he wasn't walking yet.

Jake wanting to have a book read to him while we were putting up the tree.
Taeler and Ryan putting on some ornament's.

Ryan trying to reach the top of the tree

Jason and I trying to put the lights on the tree. What a fun job that is!!

Jake helping Jason test the lights. Jakey is such a big help.

I am glad that you guys actually have a real Christmas tree. So many people are going to fake ones and that is just crazy. We too, go and cut ours down, and yes, it took us all day to get it up and decorated. I need to post better pics, but until then, Merry Christmas!!!
