Kaelen's Birthday and Pinewood Derby

Kaelen has finally reached the age of 6.  I can't believe that she is already that old.  All month long we have had to count down the days till her birthday.  She was so excited.  Since her birthday was on a Sunday this year we told her she could have her presents after church.  With 9 am church, doing it before hand would has rushed us and we wanted her to be able to enjoy her gifts.  As soon as we pulled in the driveway she was out of the car and sitting on the chair waiting for them.  Silly girl.  We told them to change out of their church clothes and to my kids that means Pj's on Sunday.

This last Thursday was the Pinewood Derby.  Ryan was really excited for it.  He made his car ALL by himself.  He designed it, sanded, painted it and decorated it all by himself.  The only thing that Jason did was take him to Grandpa C's house have him cut it out and help with the taping of the super stripes that Ryan wanted.  Other then that Ryan did it all.  I am very proud of him.  That night over all he took 3rd Place.  Not to bad especially considering that the cars who won  their dad did most of the work.
